Golf Course Located off Shug Jordan Parkway, just north of campus, the Auburn University Club at Yarbrough Farms is situated on more than 200 acres of rolling wooded terrain. Endowed with outstanding natural amenities such as Yarbrough Lake, the 25-acre centerpiece of the property, and Saugahatchee Creek, which meanders along the 12th, 13th and 14th holes, the site is one of the top golf courses in the South. At 7,259 yards from the back tees, the golf course carves through magnificent trees, across wetlands, along creeks and streams and around the lake. Natural and man-enhanced water features play a prominent role at The Auburn University Club as they blend throughout the property and are visible on 14 of 18 holes. Designed with the intention of hosting an NCAA or other national championship, the course is a challenging yet playable for all levels of golfers. ![]() Practice Facility Utilizing 22 acres, the practice facility features a range of nearly 400 yards with tees at both ends allowing players to train in a variety of wind conditions. Additionally, a unique area has been designed for situation practice so that shots may be re-created and played into actual greens from every conceivable lie and length. Furthermore, there will be both bentgrass and bermudagrass putting greens so that team members may prepare for whatever type of surface they may be facing in their next event. The practice facility is ideal for working on all aspects of the game and is outstanding for the golf teams, lessons and clinics, and for summer golf camp programs. Designer
Prior to Cupp Design, Bergin spent six years playing golf professionally and three as a teaching professional at Cherokee Town and Country Club in Atlanta. During his competitive days, the former Georgia Amateur Champion played in excess of 250 professional tournaments worldwide, including five major championships and over 50 PGA Tour events. Having competed on courses such as St. Andrews, Royal St. Andrews, Royal St. George's, Pebble Beach, Olympic Club and Baltusrul, and having taught golfers of all abilities, he has an astute awareness into the strategic quality of a golf course and how it affects all players. Bill Bergin is a Class "A" PGA Professional and earned a Business degree from Auburn University in 1981. The Links Course is a traditional links layout and ranks as one of the most impressive tracks in the country. It played host to the 1997 SEC Men's Golf Championship. The 18-hole, par-3 course is a truly beautiful layout that allows Tiger golfers excellent practice on their iron and short game play. The driving ranges at The Trail courses are also a spectacle to see. The picturesque Saugahatchee Country Club has been the site of the Billy Hitchcock Intercollegiate and provides a challenge. The par-72, 6,689-yard course houses some of the most captivating countryside and provides a true test of golf. Auburn Links at Mill Creek is a par-72, 7,200-yard layout that opened in 1993 and has been a challenge to area and visiting golfers since.
