AUBURN UNIVERSITY SPORTS MARKETING STUDENT INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The Auburn University Sports Marketing department offers internships throughout the year. During the fall and spring the internships are designed to mirror the academic semester and run from the first week of class to the final week of class. Exam week is optional for interns to complete event work but the office hours officially end the week before exams.

Students must be energetic, responsible, organized and motivated to assist the AU Sports Marketing office in carrying out the marketing plan for one of the top intercollegiate athletic programs in the country. Students are required to work approximately 10-15 hours a week including office and event hours as assigned. Course credit is available if approved by one's college.

**All Students interested in applying for an internship starting in August 2008 must submit applications by April 15th to mlclark@auburn.edu or drop off the application in 2139 Beard Eaves Memorial Coliseum by 5 pm on April 15th.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Develop and implement marketing and promotional plans for varsity sport programs
  • Execute game day and halftime promotions and game operations for AU athletic events and NCAA hosted tournaments
  • Create and execute ticket sales strategies and promotions
  • Coordinate special events, promotions and special recognition events
  • Other daily assignments as administered by the staff
