Auburn Gymnastics Meet Notes This marks the final home meet for the Tigers' 2006 season... The Tigers finished 2-3 at home this season, with wins over West Virginia and Illinois-Chicago... The Tigers' home losses came when they hosted currently-ranked No. 1 Georgia, No. 2 Florida and No. 3 Alabama. Auburn's lone senior Danielle Holtz was honored prior to the meet for Senior Night... Holtz has been a regular in the Tigers' vault and floor lineup each of her four years at Auburn... She has competed on at least one event in every meet during her career... Tonight marks her 50th consecutive meet. Auburn is now 8-9 on the season... it improves to 5-1 all time against the Flames of Illinois-Chicago Sophomore Karmen Pinckney turned in her second-highest bar score this season with a 9.775. Sophomore Julie Dwyer set a career-high score on bars with a 9.900... Her score of 9.900 ties her for 13th all-time in Auburn history on the event... Dwyer has now registered a score of 9.900 or better on every event this season.... This marks her 10th score of 9.900 or better this season. Sophomore Kayla Gies tied her career high on the beam with a 9.825. Julie Dwyer scored a 9.875 on the beam... This marks the fifth consecutive meet she has scored a 9.875 or better on the event. Holtz, in her last performance in Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum, turned in a 9.775 on the floor, her second-highest mark of the season on the event.
Freshman Claire Seiffert scored a 9.800, tying her second-highest score on the floor in her career.
Pinckney tied her career high on the floor with a 9.825. Auburn scored a team total of 195.775... This is the Tigers' fourth-highest team total this season... Auburn scored a 196.700 at LSU, 196.150 against Georgia and a 195.850 at Centenary. The Tigers swept the individual titles on all four events... On the vault, Gies finished first with a 9.800, while Pinckney and Dwyer tied for second with a 9.775... On bars, Dwyer finished first with a 9.900, while A.J. Mills finished second with a 9.800 and Pinckney and Lindsey Puckett tied for third with a 9.775... On the beam, Dwyer took first with a 9.875, while Gies and Puckett finished second with a 9.825... On the floor, Dwyer placed first with a 9.875, followed by Pinckney in second with a 9.825 and Seiffert and Nicole Barnett tying for third with a 9.800... Dwyer now has 23 first-place finishes on the season. Dwyer won her seventh all-around title of the year with a 39.425... Dwyer is currently ranked second in the country with an average of 39.356.
